Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time Campus Store Associate to assist in the organization and operation of the Crossroads Community Church Campus Store. The Associate will interact directly with Crossroads service attendees, volunteers, visitors, pastors and staff. The Associate will also organize product displays to maximize sales, receive new merchandise, track store inventory, and assist with product vendor research and quotes. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with a diverse range of people, including our congregation, other staff members and visitors to the church. Additionally, the successful candidate must be a regular attendee of Crossroads services and have a passion for the mission and ministry of our church.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Crossroads attendance and participation for a minimum of one year (preferred)
  • 2-5 years (preferred) of ministry-related experience
  • Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers and selling products to Crossroads service attendees
  • Ability to complete transactions with customers using a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to organize product displays to maximize sales, as well as receive new merchandise and track store inventory
  • Ability to assist with product vendor research and quotes
  • May occasionally train volunteers
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to relate well and in cooperation with all ages and people
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service by assisting people with purchases and answering questions about all products
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral team member
  • Must have strong interpersonal conversation skills
  • All Crossroads employees require regular, in-person, attendance of our weekly service
