Everyone looks forward to the main event. Whether it is the Super Bowl or an awards show or an election, everything leading up the main event is fine. It may be entertaining even. Yet, when it all comes down to it, it’s all about the Main Event. And there is no more substantial moment in the life of the prophet Elijah than the confrontation with the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel. Everything has been leading up to this moment. And the Lord shows up big time!
