In our culture we are often staring weight loss right in the face. And anyone who has ever lost weight and kept it off knows that it started with a decision, and it took a lot of looking back at that decision to stick with it. The same is true for following Jesus. If we haven't made a clear-cut decision to follow Jesus no matter what, and we know how to stick to that decision, we will drift from Him and our desire to follow Him. Our heart is in it, but we aren't committed to anything, and we keep wondering, "What just happened? How did I end up here?" The real question is how we do we make that decision to follow Jesus, and how can we can stick with it?
