There are some musical groups that have amazing chemistry…to the point that they are not only popular with one particular age group, they impact generations and span across decades. Like The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen and Led Zeppelin before them, U2 has been a perennially popular band. In 2001, their single "Beautiful Day" won three Grammy awards, including Song of the Year. Within the lyrics of Beautiful Day, their lead singer Bono encourages listeners to see the magnificence of creation.
If you love the Bible, when you hear Bono sing, "See the world in green and blue, see China right in front of you, see the canyons broken by cloud, see the tuna fleets clearing the sea...” you are reminded of Psalm 19. Within this beautiful song of David, the great king, musician and psalmist writes about a God who desires to reveal Himself. In the next installment of our Top Ten series, you'll learn more about our great God and His intimate relationship with us, as Pastor Daniel explains God's chosen modes of self-revelation.
