On Saturday, September 14, LoveNOW will be partnering with Camp Hope, who is hosting a Foster Family Summer Camp to bless foster kids and families right here in Clark County!

Volunteers will serve from 9 am to 1 pm. We will meet on campus at 9 am and arrive at Camp Hope at 9:30 am, at which time you will meet your team leader who will instruct you on what to do for your specific activity, until activities start at 10 am. Camp Hope will be generously providing lunch for all volunteers at 12 pm.

There will be so many fun ways to serve at this event! Please read the activities and their descriptions below prior to registering:

Note: ALL activities will have Camp Hope leaders on site to guide and direct you 🙂

• Horses: No need to have experience with horses! Volunteers will monitor the kids waiting to go for a ride, make sure they take turns, and encourage them to try other activities as well.
• Archery: No experience needed! Volunteers will be the extra eyes and ears for the leaders and assist them as needed.
• Petting Zoo: Volunteers will help kids overcome fears if they have them and ensure that they are gentle with the animals.
• Arts & Crafts – Younger Kids: Volunteers will assist kids with the different activities and support the leaders as needed.
• Arts & Crafts – Older Kids: Volunteers will assist kids with the different activities and support the leaders as needed.
• Rocket Building: Volunteers will help kids build rockets and assist the leader as needed.
• Cave Hike: Volunteers will assist kids in the caves, monitor them as they are waiting to go in, and assist the leader as needed.
• Games: Volunteers will interact with, monitor, and help kids with the various games available: gaga ball, volleyball, slackline, basketball, racquetball, carpet ball, disc golf, etc.
• Bounce Houses: Volunteers will monitor the kids waiting to go into the bounce houses, make sure they take turns, and encourage them to try other activities as well.
• Food: Volunteers will help clean up after breakfast and prep and serve for lunch.

Since this is a special event designed to serve foster children and their families, all volunteers will be required to have a background check.
