1. God is love

  • Scripture Reference: 1 John 4:15-16
  • Leader Notes
    • The passage says that if we walk in love, then we are walking in the way God intends us to. If we know God, then we also know love, because He is love.

Questions for Reflection:

  • What does God’s love mean to me?

2. Christmas is God’s love manifested

  • Scripture Reference: John 3:16-17
  • Leader Notes
    • God gave us the ultimate gift, and simultaneously the ultimate sacrifice, His own son. The Father knew Jesus was born to die for the world, and still went through with it. That is radical love.
    • Knowing we have received this radical gift, this should move us to tell others about how they can receive salvation as well!

Questions for Reflection:

  • Is there an area I have been choosing to walk opposite of love?
  • How can I grow in God’s love?

3. Let’s initiate love like Jesus

  • Scripture Reference: Romans 5:8
  • Leader Notes
    • God would never tell us to do something He hasn’t done Himself. We see that Jesus demonstrated love first to show us how to love those around us by dying for us while we will still sinners.

Questions for reflection:

  • How does the cross of Jesus change my view of love?
  • How does it affect the way I live my life every day?
