Prayer

Learn to Pray

Here at Crossroads, we believe in the power of prayer. We are committed to the practice of prayer both individually and corporately. As a result, we see the hand of God moving in our lives, and in the lives of those around us.

In 2023, our church went through a message series on prayer called Into the Deep. It covered the importance of prayer, how to pray, and other practical tips. This series will help you grow in the spiritual discipline of prayer.

Corporate Prayer Opportunities

Pre-Service Prayer

Sundays at 7:15 AM

We pray for our Sunday services and all the ministries happening on campus, as well as those who will be joining us for church.

Monthly Prayer Meeting

Third Thursday of the Month at 9 AM

We gather for our Monthly Prayer Meeting from 9 AM to 10 AM in the Reach Center, located on the south side of the Family Room. Intentional time is spent praying for local, national, and global needs, as well as the personal needs of those who attend. The heart behind these gatherings is to provide a welcoming, non-intimidating space for anyone to come and pray, no matter where they are in their journey of faith.

Prayer360

Prayer360 is an opportunity for our church family to join together in around-the-clock prayer. Find weekly prayer prompts as we lift up our church, city, nation, and world to the Lord.

How Can We Pray for You?

We know that it’s not always easy to open up and share what’s going on in your life. But life gets messy, and no matter who we are, we need people to come alongside and support us in prayer. If you need prayer for a specific need, let us know and your request will go to a committed team of prayer partners who regularly meet and lift people up to God in prayer.

Please don’t include advertising, vulgarity, political agendas, slander, personal information such as phone numbers or addresses, or personal accusations.

We pray over many requests each day so please keep it an appropriate length so we can give each request equal attention.

If this is an emergency, please call 911.

If you would like to speak with a chaplain, please call 360-256-9711 and ask for a chaplain.

If you are considering taking your life, please call 988 (National Suicide Prevention Lifeline).

If you would like to share your request publicly but not share your name, please enter "Anonymous" in the Name field. Your email address will not be shared publicly.

Prayer Wall

I am in a very difficult life situation and currently living with family who have a history of abuse and continue to be emotionally and verbally harmful. Although I am an adult, it has been hard to gain independence due to my upbringing and current circumstances. As a student, I am limited in how much I can work, which makes moving out difficult. I am doing my best to lean on God and stay afloat, but I am struggling and in need of help and support as I try to find a healthier path forward.

I wanted to give a brief update on my AZ family. God made a beautiful way for my sister to be moved closer to family, which was truly a miracle. Her time is now very near, and while we grieve, we trust she will soon be with the Lord and reunited with loved ones. Our family is struggling, especially her husband and sons, but we know God is with them. I am hoping to travel soon but am dealing with some health issues, and there are many ongoing health and relational challenges within the family. Please pray for wisdom, comfort, peace, and God’s direction. Thank you so much for your prayers and love.

I am 55 days clean and currently in treatment, while my partner is still struggling with addiction. We are facing both CPS and court, and there is a real fear of losing our parental rights. My mom has been an incredible support and is caring for my children while I walk through this process. I am asking for prayer for my family, for God’s guidance and strength to stay strong, and that the courts would see my efforts and work with me toward reunification. Please pray for God’s will, His peace, and the reminder that He is with us every step of this journey.

Please pray for my 33 year old daughter. She left a longtime abusive relationship in November. Her current living situation has been very stressful for her and she’s been trying to find her own place. Her best friend since childhood abruptly ended their friendship and has been posting ugly things about her on social media. Today she was fired unexpectedly from her job of over 10 years. She is hopeless and in despair and im highly concerned about potential substance and mental health issues. Asking for her to rediscover Jesus and to find the hope she needs right now.

Please pray for my husband and our marriage. Pray that he returns, that our marriage will be restored. His heart will soften. He will hear his children’s cries for him, he will turn back to his family. We are all struggling so much without him and it’s all feeling so overwhelming.

Sandy visited Crossroads this morning, February 15, and requested prayer for the family of Earl Eversol. He is actively dying and though he has been a faithful servant of the Lord, his family is distraught. Please pray for God’s peace to be upon the family. Thank you!

Ended up in the ER Monday; 2nd Monday in a row. Jesus had arranged for me to pray for a former neighbor & her daughter, Jesus’ friend (She & her husband prayed for me too.), plus a few hurting people. One said he didn’t want me to pray for Jesus’ healing; I responded I already did.

Was invited to lunch yesterday by two Afghan friends I hadn’t seen for a while. I apologized to them for the way our government and many in our country are treating some people from their country. I described that how though the greatest number of people in our country practice Christianity, many do not follow the teachings of Christ. I asked them if I could read a scripture to demonstrate that and got approval to read MT 25 parable about the sheep and the goats. Any of us would be grateful to have these two Muslim guys who arrived here legally as our friends and neighbors. Please pray for these guys and all those in a similar situation.

When I was 21 years of age, a good friend called me on the phone and asked me if I would like to go to dinner. He picked me up and we had dinner and after dinner at this restaurant, he asked me if I would like to see a verse from the Bible that explained the whole message of the Bible in one verse. I said, “yes that sounds interesting. What’s that all about.“ So he took the napkin that was on the table and wrote on it a verse from the Bible, Romans 6:23. We talked about each part of that verse and he asked me if I could think of any reason that I wouldn’t want to trust Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior? Well, I didn’t fully understand that and wasn’t ready at that time, but my friend planted a seed. A week or two later, I received a phone call from another friend who asked me how I was doing. And he knew I wasn’t doing so well, so he asked me if I had ever asked Jesus to come into my life. We prayed together and God did the rest.
