Prayer

Learn to Pray

Here at Crossroads, we believe in the power of prayer. We are committed to the practice of prayer both individually and corporately. As a result, we see the hand of God moving in our lives, and in the lives of those around us.

In 2023, our church went through a message series on prayer called Into the Deep. It covered the importance of prayer, how to pray, and other practical tips. This series will help you grow in the spiritual discipline of prayer.

Corporate Prayer Opportunities

Pre-Service Prayer

Sundays at 7:15 AM

We pray for our Sunday services and all the ministries happening on campus, as well as those who will be joining us for church.

Monthly Prayer Meeting

Third Thursday of the Month at 9 AM

We gather for our Monthly Prayer Meeting from 9 AM to 10 AM in the Reach Center, located on the south side of the Family Room. Intentional time is spent praying for local, national, and global needs, as well as the personal needs of those who attend. The heart behind these gatherings is to provide a welcoming, non-intimidating space for anyone to come and pray, no matter where they are in their journey of faith.

Prayer360

Prayer360 is an opportunity for our church family to join together in around-the-clock prayer. Find weekly prayer prompts as we lift up our church, city, nation, and world to the Lord.

How Can We Pray for You?

We know that it’s not always easy to open up and share what’s going on in your life. But life gets messy, and no matter who we are, we need people to come alongside and support us in prayer. If you need prayer for a specific need, let us know and your request will go to a committed team of prayer partners who regularly meet and lift people up to God in prayer.

Please don’t include advertising, vulgarity, political agendas, slander, personal information such as phone numbers or addresses, or personal accusations.

We pray over many requests each day so please keep it an appropriate length so we can give each request equal attention.

If this is an emergency, please call 911.

If you would like to speak with a chaplain, please call 360-256-9711 and ask for a chaplain.

If you are considering taking your life, please call 988 (National Suicide Prevention Lifeline).

If you would like to share your request publicly but not share your name, please enter "Anonymous" in the Name field. Your email address will not be shared publicly.

Our little family has been going to crossroads for over a decade now and absolutely love the church and community. A week ago, our 15 year old, firstborn son Joshua Marchuk was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and just yesterday, his physician told us that, according to his bone marrow lab results, it’s the far more aggressive type of Leukemia (dek nup214 mutation), which will require a stem cell and bone marrow transplant… While we’re heart broken for him having to go down a much more difficult path, we remain faithful and hopeful that God’s mercy will help us see and understand His plan. We ask for prayer and support for Joshua – but also for our little family, including his siblings (who were tested yesterday to see if they might be potential “perfect match” donors for bone marrow and stem cells. I’m sharing updates and targeted prayer requests on https://www.supportnow.org/marchuk-family/updates/ – my goal is to build an army of believers who will lift up their voices to The Almighty to hear our plea for our son, who is -and always has been – the biggest blessing in our lives. Joshua is kind, caring, mindful, smart, and the best Son and Brother than anyone could ever hope for. And even as I’m terrified for my son and our littke family, and as I’m bawling my eyes out writing this, we are faithful that God’s plan will only make him better – bringing him (and our family) closer to God. Please help support us in prayer and lift our voices to God – for Joshua’s health, for us to remain strong in our faith, and for our little family (and the friends that surround us) to strengthen our relationship with God.

Please pray for my son who is going through a very difficult time with his mental health. He is struggling with his identity and thoughts of suicide. He feels worthless and like hes a burden to everyone around him. He has been trying to find a job for a couple of years with no luck and it has really harmed his already fragile state. He is not a believer yet, and I pray that God finds him where he is and delivers him from the grip of this war he’s in, in his mind.

Please pray for our son, Josh, who has recently been diagnosed with AML leukemia. We are grateful that God protected his organs from permanent damage despite how critically low his hemoglobin was when he arrived at the ER. We are also thankful that this form of leukemia is treatable and curable. Josh has begun an aggressive treatment plan that will require approximately six months of hospitalization, with short breaks at home between chemotherapy cycles. Please pray that God would guide his medical team with wisdom, strengthen Josh’s body as he undergoes treatment, protect him from complications and infection, and grant him complete healing. Please also pray for our family—for peace that surpasses understanding, unwavering faith, and strength for each day. Though we don’t understand why this has happened, we trust that God is in control and pray that His name will be glorified through this journey. Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

Please pray for where I should live. I am currently staying with my son and his family. I’m fairly low fixed income. I’m on a bunch of different waiting lists with the Vancouver Housing Authority. I just pray that God would lead me and guide me to where I should be. What is your plan for me Lord? Thank you for your prayers!

Pray that God would heal, deliver and set my grandson free from all past hurts, pain and trauma. Bring comfort and peace to him as he realize how much he is loved by God, Psalm 27:10-When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. He is very angry at his parents and takes it out on the people closest to him, Amen

I haven’t posted in some time for my AZ family. The fallout of all that has happened has been brutal and the 2 sons who have lost everyone and everything are just coping. Please pray for them and for my 2sisters there and my brother in Law. They are all trying to figure out how to do life now, everything has changed, they have changed and the impact for me is huge too. God is here but the need for Him is so huge and these sons especially need help and physical healing as well. I know The Lord will help people pray and thank you so much! pat

Please pray for God’s guidance, protection, and provision in my life during this season. Pray that my upcoming job interview goes well, that I will have wisdom, confidence, and peace, and that God will open the right doors for employment and close the wrong ones. Pray for a stable job and financial provision. Pray for healing and restoration for me and my family from the hardships we have experienced. Pray that God would bring emotional, spiritual, and practical healing, restore what has been broken, and help us move forward into a healthy and hopeful future. Pray for freedom from fear, anxiety, stress, loneliness, discouragement, spiritual oppression, and past hurts. Pray that God would surround me with His peace, strengthen my faith, and help me walk forward into the new season He has for me. Pray for wisdom in counseling and healthy support systems, for protection from unhealthy relationships and influences, and for the courage to make wise decisions. Pray that God would lead me to a healthy church community, godly friendships, and opportunities that align with His purposes for my life. Pray that I would experience God’s presence, rest, joy, and peace this week, trusting Him to provide for every need and guide every step.
